Head of Advice and Welfare

The purpose of the Head of Advice and Welfare is to lead on the departmental strategic efforts to enhance student involvement, foster community and promote a vibrant university experience. This role will oversee the union’s Advice and Welfare department, overseeing the provision of a confidential, non-judgmental and independent advice, information and advocacy service for students at UEA. Acting as the safeguarding and complaints lead for the organisation.

This role will oversee the union’s Marketing and Communications Department and the delivery of an effective communication service, showcasing the work of Student Leaders, members and the SU in an effective way.

Chair of Board of Trustees

Purpose of the post: To Chair the meetings for the Board of Trustees, through leading on meetings and key issues, ensuring all voices are heard and utilised for the betterment of the charity. To support the CEO through agile Line Management along with support from other trustees. Ensuring the CEO is achieving the strategic vision of the organisation and building up financial stability.
