Student of Colour Ambassador - School of Media, Language and Communication (MLC) 

What is the Students of Colour Ambassador Scheme? 

The scheme is in a phased roll out across the university  and is not yet available in all schools. To be eligible to apply for the role, you must be a registered undergraduate student in one of the schools listed below, and you must be continuing your studies into 2027

  • School of Chemistry, Pharmacy, and Pharmacology
  • School of Engineering, Maths, and Physics
  • School of Politics, Philosophy, and Area Studies
  • School of Global Development
  • School of Health Sciences
  • School of Law
  • School of Literature, Drama, and Creative Writing
  • School of Media, Language, and Communication
  • School of Economics

These positions are paid (£12.21 PH - Over 21/£10.42 PH - Under 21 per hour with potential variations) and contracted up to a maximum of 6 hours a week, term time only. 

It’s the eighth year of the Ambassadors scheme and the approach in each school will be slightly different, so you’ll have a chance to shape the projects you’re working on.
